TRANSPO Holiday Closing : Posted On: 08/31/10
The South Bend Public Transportation Corporation (TRANSPO) will be closed Monday, September 6, 2010 in observance of Labor Day. All facilities will be closed, and no fixed route or ACCESS buses will be in service.

Facilities will reopen and regular service on all routes, including ACCESS, will resume Tuesday, September 7, 2010.

TRANSPO apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause patrons. Please direct any questions to our information line, (574) 233-2131.

TRANSPO Announces Detour for Hospital Demolition : Posted On: 08/31/10
The South Bend Public Transportation Corporation (TRANSPO) announces a detour for the #1 Madison/Mishawaka route due to the demolition of the old Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center buildings in South Bend. Demolition is scheduled to begin Thursday, September 2. This detour will go into effect on September 2 and will continue until buses are able to safely navigate the regular route, which could be prior to the projected December completion date. The #1 Madison/Mishawaka route will be detoured as follows:

Outbound:
From South Street Station, buses will travel regular route to LaSalle Ave and St. Louis Blvd, where they will continue eastbound on LaSalle to Eddy Street, turn left (north) on Eddy Madison Street, then turn right (east) on Madison, resuming regular route.

Inbound:
From Mishawaka Transfer Center, buses will travel regular route to Madison St and Eddy St, turn left (south) on Eddy to LaSalle Ave, then turn right (west) on LaSalle, resuming regular route at LaSalle and St. Louis Blvd.

Whenever re-routing of our service occurs, listed times for arrivals and departures cannot be guaranteed. TRANSPO apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause our fixed route patrons and encourages all patrons to plan accordingly.
