Fixed Route (Big Bus) Operators -- a career not just a job!
Training classes are scheduled throughout the year for people who have a desire and the commitment it takes to become a professional transit driver. TRANSPO trains new hires with the skills to obtain a CDL, a requirement of the DOT for bus operators. All operators start as trainees, and then quickly move to a part-time pool, working up to 28 hours per week, providing us the bench strength from which to draw our full-time operators.
ACCESS Operators – providing a link to the community!
Dedicated people interested in full or part-time positions and a rewarding career with TRANSPO can apply to become one of our paratransit drivers. Our paratransit operators are well trained individuals who provide an invaluable service to our citizens and community.
